Keep earning and status separate
When reading programme terms, distinguish the points used for rewards from the measures used to qualify for status. Check which transactions count, whether your booking channel is eligible and any restrictions on the hotel, rate or transaction.
Check before you redeem
Verify the current redemption conditions and what happens if your booking changes or is cancelled. Read the terms of any promotion separately. Membership, hotel participation and rate eligibility should be checked for your own reservation.
